Floyd Wilcox Carter (1902 – 1962)

Bessie (Gilkerson) (Howard) (Harbin) (Lynch) Fitzsimmons (1880 – 1959)

Bessie was born 23 August 1880 in Ohio and died 21 August 1959 in Sebastopol, Sonoma County, California. It is not really known how much Bessie‘s life was affected by being separated from her parents and siblings; adopted at a very early age; and then losing her adopted mother shortly after being adopted. With being married four times, she must have had an adventurous, full and colorful life. A family story is that she married one of them twice. Bessie‘s legacy lives through memories, stories and her two sons. Her two daughters passed away from tuberculosis at very young ages.  more…..

Bessie (Harrison) (Eyton) (Coffey) McDonald (1890 – 1965)

Bessie was born 05 July 1890 in Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara County, California and died, 22 January 1965 at the age of 74 in Thousand Oaks, Ventura County, California.  Her Cause of Death was Congestive Heart Failure.  She is buried at Ivy Lawn Memorial Park, Ventura,Ventura County, California on January 29, 1965 in Section E, Plot 26, Grave 6E with the name of Bessie McDonald.  Her parents were Edgar Thomas Harrison and Claribel Mead.  more….
